Cake! Cake! Cake!Cake!

Here is a picture of my and my two best friends, Mailey and Jet. We are waiting for the red cupcakes that my mommy made. We had just finished some tortilla pizzas and really wanted the cake that had been promised. I was REALLY tired and couldn't even sit up to eat my cupcake. We had played outside and ran around and around the yard with a couple of balls for an hour before lunch was ready.

Party Time

Here are some pictures from my birthday party. The top one is the picture of the Elmo cake that my mommy made.....from scratch, even the frosting. The next picture is of me trying to blow out my candle. It took 58 seconds for the flame to go out, and I'm not sure that I was the one to really blow it out. The day before, I had a party with my friends, and I got it on the first try. But unfortunately, when it came to the big moment, my actual birthday, in front of my whole family..... I couldn't do it. I had a great time this year. Lots of great grandmas, one great grandpa, two grandmas, two papas, a couple of great aunts and a couple of great uncles, and stacey-up-a-hill and mike-up-hill (That's what I call them cuz you have to drive up a hill to park in their driveway.) all came to my party. It was great to see them all and I'm really happy they were there. It's kind of a long drive for most of them and I was so excited that they made the trip. If I get my friends' permission, I will post some pictures of that party too.

PLAYSET!

Yes, that is my dog up on it, too. She climbs the ladder and goes down the slide. I LOVE my new playset, it's all I talk about.

B-DAY!

In just a few short days I will turn 2 years old. Boy how time flies. Right now, my mom is busy rearranging the house and making three different kinds of cake. (My dad's birthday is 2 days before mine and I'm having a family party and a friend party.) We got a new couch and my daddy went to pick up a swing set for me this week, too. I still LOVE Elmo, so that's gonna be the party theme. Yay! Several of my grandmas, grandpas and great aunts and great uncles are coming to my party. I'm told that Aunt Heidi, and Uncle Lance will most likely be no-shows. (How rude!)

Big Girl Seat

My parents just picked out a new car seat for me that will last until I weigh 100 lbs. (I'm only at about 25lbs right now, so I have a while to go before I grow out of this one.) As you can see, this one even has a cup holder so I'll be way cool.

Molars Bite

Right now I'm in the process of growing my second two-year molar. This one is on the top. The first one was on the bottom. I had NO problem with ANY of my other teeth before these came along. Yesterday I had a pretty high fever and today I've slept for a whole bunch. I'm pretty sure it all goes back to this stupid molar. I don't even want anything to eat. All I've had is jello. One bowl yesterday, and only half a bowl today.

Can We Move?

A couple of weeks ago we had lost all of our snow. It was all gone. I had a ton of fun running around the yard and going down my slide and swinging on my swing. I didn't even have to wear a coat. Then, over the past week, we got dumped on. There was snow on the deck so deep that it went as high as the seats of the chairs. So now we have to wait for it all to melt and for the mud to go away again. (I do have really cool mud boots though, so the mud isn't all that bad.)

YO DADDY!

I've come up with a new way to address everyone. It's starts with a YO! and ends with whatever your name is. I came up with it all by myself. I think it's way cool and really funny.

It's spring break for daddy's school this week, so he's still been having track practice in the morning but almost the rest of every day is devoted to ME ME ME! (What else would be more fun than that anyways?)

We were going to take him to the pool that mommy and I go to, but because we've gotten a bit of snow and slick roads, we decided to pass on that today. It's just a day to stay inside and eat soup and bread. (I don't like soup, but I like bread.)

On Tuesday, my parents went to a movie while I took a nap. Then my great-grandpa Clinton and great-grandma Mabel brought me to Petoskey to meet up with them. We went to Applebee's for an early dinner and then to Walmart to get some new Strawberry Shortcake shoes. When my mom was little, she found these perfect Strawberry Shortcake shoes, but my grandma said they were too big for her. She cried and cried and NEVER forgot the pain and suffering caused by the loss of those shoes. So......due to that horrible time in her life......I will ALWAYS have a pair of Strawberry Shortcakes shoes. This is my third pair. They aren't the same ones though. These are tennis shoes. My other ones have been all-weather slip ins and sandels.

Budding Artist...

Here is a healthier picture of me doing one of my very FAVORITE things. Coloring. There is a piece of paper there, it's just not in the picture. My other favorite thing is to read. And I LOVE going to the library to get 3 new books every week.

SICK SUCKS!

I've been sick for about a week, but it was the worst on Sunday. My parents had to get out a bucket for me. YUCK! I'm having my best day since last Tuesday. I've only taken one nap again and was able to go to Playgroup.

At first my mommy thought it was just that I was getting my 2 yr molars(which I am). So I went to my friend Mailey's birthday party on Saturday. She will turn 2 tomorrow. And, unfortunately, she's been starting to feel kind of yucky the last few days. So..... I gave her some sort of bug for her birthday. Sorry Mailey!

VISITING

This is a picture from a few weeks ago. I went downstate to help Aunt Heidi pack to head back to Montana for nine months. While I was there I got to visit a lot of my relatives. This is me and my "uncle" Heath sledding. I went down the hill once and then wanted to go back inside.

Walking in a Winter Wonderland

This morning my mom and I went out to shovel the snow. Which means, she shoveled and I pushed some snow around with my own shovel for a few minutes and then ran through the yard with my doggie. Once my mom was done shovelling, she came in the yard with me. We decided to walk to the very middle of the deep, dark forest near our home. Once there, I didn't want to walk any more. So my mom had to carry me through a foot of snow and tall grass and branches up a hill, while we were both wearing several added pounds of slippery snow clothes. But it was fun anyways cuz we kept laying down every so often to let the snowflakes fall onto our faces.

I'M NOT GETTING IN THERE!

My mom took myself and a few friends to a pool this week. It was a lot of fun. It never got any deeper than 3 feet and the water was a nice 90 degrees. But that didn't matter because I was NOT getting in. Instead I just sat on the edge and kicked at the water. But after we had been there for an hour and it was time to close...... I wanted in and didn't want to get out. Then we went to McDonald's for lunch. When we got home, I took a 3 hr. nap, yay!

STUFFY NOSE!

I've had a stuffy nose for a few days now. My mom told me that I'm suppose to call Daddy's name when I wake up at night. So that's what I did, 3 times the other night. HEE HEE!

SANTA??!!!!??


I was able to visit the jolly old elf himself on Monday night. I put on my pretty new Holiday dress and clip-cloppy shoes. Then when the big moment came....... I got a little scared. So I had to have my daddy be in the picture with us. Needless to say, I didn't get a chance to talk to the big guy. But Mrs. Claus did give me a candy cane! YAY!

SNOW!!!!!!

You all would not believe how much snow we have up here. My mom and I have been shovelling nonstop for 3 days. I would post pictures but our computer crashed and we need to put a program back onto our computer before my mom can get the pictures off of the camera and in the computer. We went sledding today. I had a great time. But I kept saying, "OH NO!" when the snow came over the sides of the sled. The snow came up WAY past my moms' knees, so she really got a workout dragging my bumm around.

I really like all of the Holiday lights that my neighbors have been putting up these last few days. Everytime we drive by them I say, "Look at that! Pretty!" It's been my first sentence. Then I want to see, "MOE!"(More) But we live in the country and there's a lot of space between the lights.



ELMO

The Tuesday after THANKSGIVING, my parents took me to see SESAME STREET LIVE! It was soooooo much fun. And I must say, I was a VERY good girl and sat on either mom or dad's lap the entire show. Except for the end when I stood in front of their seat and danced. I have pictures of Elmo that I will have my mom add a little later.

I LOVE SHOPPING!!!!!

Today, my parents and Mimi Pat took me to the big city to get some Holiday shopping done. They purchased gifts right in front of me. It's probably the last year they'll be able to do that. We went to Petsmart too. I like to go there to look at the Kitty's. They had doggies today. I also got to see some birds and fish. Then we decided to have lunch before we came home to watch the football game. All in all, it was a BIG DAY. I can't wait for Christmas to come so I can play with all of my new things that I watched everyone buy for me. Yay!

IT'S BEEN AWHILE

I was lucky enough to be able to spend over a week with my family downstate. My Great-Grandpa got very sick and so my mom and I went down for a visit. I got to have a really fun Halloween and my Aunt Heidi came back from her time away early. So she was there too. I barely remembered her, she was gone for so long. But it didn't take too much time for us to get reaquainted.
Then, when all of the confusion was over, my mom and dad brought me back up north. I went down for a nap at 4:30 yesterday afternoon and decided to sleep until 7:30 this morning. This morning I had my 18 month appt. I had to get 4 shots. Then they gave me a double dose of Tylenol and now I'm going to bed again. YAY!

Playgroup Halloween Party

My playgroup had our Halloween Party on Wednesday. We had treats, and played games, and did some fun craft projects. Then we had a parade. I got to lead the parade with Mary, the woman in charge of playgroup. She was a Telletubby. So we looked pretty good together. I've always thought there should be a skunk in the Telletubbies. I'll have my mom post some pictures once Halloween is over. That way everyone can see all of the festivities together.

This weekend my Papa Reg and Mimi Becky came up to visit me. I tried my Halloween costume on for them. They liked it. I'm a skunk! My Mimi brought me up a lot of new clothes that she had purchased so now I'll be all trendy again.

On Sunday, my mommy and daddy and I went to the big city to do some shopping. It was a yucky day, so it was nice to have somewhere to go. We met with my Great Aunt Michell and Great Uncle Kirk. It's been awhile since I've seen them. So that was fun too. I had a REALLY good time playing in the toy isle of KMART.
